Seed, Calm as the Colour and The NK Jays at the Black Sparrow this Thursday!

www.glasgowmusic.co.uk is proud to announce another series of live stripped back, acoustic and electro shows at the Black Sparrow on Charing Cross on weekly Thursday nights.

The aim of the nights is to show off the best up and coming talent that Glasgow has to offer and prove how strong the cities music scene is. There will also be a number of quality acts from other towns drafted in too.

Seed
Those that know me know how much I like this band. I’ve played them on Radio 1 twice. Take a front line that has a folk edge with acoustic and ‘lead guitaresque’ banjo, with a driving rhythm section reminding you of Led Zeppelin and Grohl. The best part is it works. Find me a tighter band playing in town this night…

Calm as the Colour
Beautiful sunshine pop from Fife! Where have we heard this before? Another excellent band playing tunes that are set in the era The La’s and Liverpool were king.

The NK Jays
Still relatively new band, the NK Jays have already sold out the Garage and collaborated with Jill Jackson. This Glasgow 3 piece take influence from 80s indie and give it a modern take.
