TRNSMT 2019, here is everything you need to know.


It’s only one week to go until Scotland’s biggest music festival TRNSMT gets the party started in Glasgow with an array of incredible acts including Stormzy, Catfish and the Bottlemen, George Ezra, Gerry Cinnamon and Lewis Capaldi. Although Sunday 14th July day tickets are sold out, fans can still snap up ticket options which include access to this day from www.TRNSMTfest.com.

Using the official TRNSMT app, fans can start planning their ultimate TRNSMT weekend personalised to them, well in advance. By downloading the official TRNSMT app, fans can ‘star’ the acts they want to see and receive push notifications 10 minutes before they come on stage so they never miss a moment, as well as check out where to get their favourite Smirnoff cocktail, or plan their trips to the King Tut’s Stage Powered by Utilita Energy or Queen Tut’s Stage to discover their new favourite band.

Since its inception in 2017, TRNSMT has delivered some iconic moments in Scotland’s music history. From Gerry Cinnamon’s famous Main Stage set, The Killers’ fan Tony’s unforgettable drum solo and Lewis Capaldi’s ascent from the King Tut’s Stage Powered by Utilita Energy to the Main Stage…TRNSMT has had it all.

TRNSMT LOVES GERRY CINNAMON (2017, 2018 + 2019 INCOMING)

Making his TRNSMT debut in 2017, Gerry Cinnamon played a storming set on the King Tut’s Stage Powered by Utilita Energy and became one of the acts to take a leap to the Main Stage. With tunes ‘Belter’, ‘Sometimes’ and the new instant fan favourite ‘Canter’ sure to be played at this year’s festival, Gerry Cinnamon has a connection with his fans that is unrivalled. He has quite simply become one of the biggest stars in the UK’s music scene. His return in 2018 was one of the biggest moments of the weekend, with his anthemic tracks capturing the imagination and hearts of audiences up and down the country. An appearance in his hometown of Glasgow on 12th July 2019 is sure to be unmatched!

STORMZY ‘STORMS’ THE MAIN STAGE

Performing on TRNSMT’s opening day on Friday 12th July is one of the biggest grime stars in the world – Stormzy. Fresh from a historic Glastonbury headline set which saw him praised by fans and media around the world, the rapper returns to TRNSMT after making his festival debut in 2017 on the sunny Saturday afternoon. With the fastest selling album of 2019 in his possession, The Official Chart Company revealed the biggest songs of 2019 so far this week and Lewis’s smash hit ‘Someone You Loved’ was at the top spot. The rise of Lewis Capaldi over the past two years has been nothing short of phenomenal. After making his TRNSMT debut on the King Tut’s Stage Powered by Utilita Energy in 2017, the Bathgate singer returned last year for a performance that will go down as one of the festival’s biggest moments. Taking to the Main Stage early on a Sunday afternoon, he got a massive response from the home crowd, setting him up for an incredible 12 months. Lewis Capaldi returns to TRNSMT Festival on Sunday 14th July, day tickets are sold-out but fans can purchase two day or weekend tickets at www.TRNSMTfest.com.

CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN

One of the best live acts around the circuit right now are without a doubt, Catfish and the Bottlemen. The band took to the Main Stage in the early evening during their 2017 stint and played to swarms of fans. Belting out tunes from their first two albums, the band created one of the most epic singalongs of the weekend during ‘Glasgow’, as the crowd sang back every word. That TRNSMT performance remains on frontman Van McCann’s Instagram – as one of only three posts. We’re expecting a heroes welcome from the Glasgow crowd, who’ll be treated to the band’s boundless energy and spirit plus big tunes from their three smash records.

BUDAPEST < GLASGOW

George Ezra returns in 2019 as Sunday night’s closing act with festival-ready tunes like ‘Budapest’ and ‘Paradise’ up his sleeve. The Number One selling artist’s love affair with TRNSMT started all the way back in 2017 when he took to the Main Stage on a sun-drenched Saturday afternoon. The singer-songwriter has created some of the biggest songs of the past two years and he was clearly feeling the love from the crowd as he tweeted “Why isn’t every gig in Scotland?â€
