The band play their first ever sold out U.S headline shows this month
Bastille continue their reign as one of Britain’s most exciting new bands and release live favourite ‘Things We Lost in The Fire’ on August 26th. The track tells the story of a couple who watch the metaphor of their relationship burn and then sift through the ashes. The tracks new video, shot in Lithuania with director Naor Aloni., has already received an incredible reaction, its narrative being a dream sequence inspired by Dan’s love of cult film.
As well as drawing the biggest crowd ever at Glastonburys John Peel Stage, the band have drawn huge numbers at many of this summer’s festivals and continue to play prolific slots at many more. Over the next few weeks they will play their first headline sold out U.S shows and will appear on acclaimed TV show Conan O’Brien.
Bastille’s debut album ‘Bad Blood’ is the biggest selling debut album of the year with nearly platinum sales and is one of the top 10 biggest selling albums of the year. The album was recently voted by Guardian readers as one of their favourite albums of 2013 and its single ‘Pompeii’ has nearly sold 600,000 copies and will be certified platinum in the next couple of weeks.
The band’s autumn tour sold out in a matter of hours, all 44,000 tickets gone in a day. They have now announced the Scottish shows on the tour, visiting Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
