Glasgow Podcart announces next Mix Up Mayhem

Mix_Up_Mayhem was born from the immaculate self-conception of Glasgow PodcARTs Ally Burton in 2010. This year Mix_Up_Mayhem is back with four very special shows which will burst from our womb and into our new home.

The first of our shows will take place on Friday 25th March in Glasgows Bar Bloc on Bath Street with a line-up to induce a sonic face-lift all for free. Three bands will cover each others songs and a well-known cover alongside their own stellar material that we booked them for. Other People, You Already Know and Carnivores will be our prodigal sons for the night.

Other People are going to be a test of our parenting but we love those cheeky chaps. These guys have banter in excess to back up their catchy tracks and feral rock n roll sound. Other People shall not be tamed. We dont want them to be. Expect them to be swinging from the lights.

When You Already Know sent us their new single Lets Fuck backed with a glossy video we knew we had to get them involved for their loose morals alone, never mind their mighty sound. Releasing their album Petrol Money on the 18th April 2011, their brain blending instrumental force will have Bloc resonating, hopefully not at that mythical frequency of the brown note. Technical brilliance to match their gargantuan riffs. Expect to be astounded.

After being dominated by Carnivores once we knew they were a must. Fresh from recording their debut album, Nights Of Infinity, these chaps will seize you by the ears and spit in your face, but you will like it. Raucous and rampant, high energy madness served in salt. Expect them to be climbing the walls.

For those of you brave souls that remain standing we have our very own resident dance expert Amanda Mitchell djing until 3am where she will also have the premier play of our exclusive ReMix_Up_Mayhem amongst her banging set. Available via a download code, our gift to you on the night, this remix by the exceptional Jamie Daisuke Sturt (Oh You Dancer) will incorporate one track from each of the bands to create a three-headed dance inducing monster.

If that isnt enough, limited edition t-shirts will be served hot, and beer will be served cold.
