Schnapps release Nasty Buffet

El Rancho Records are thrilled to announce the release of Nasty Buffet, the debut by Glaswegian miscreants Schnapps, on Monday 6th June 2011.
Preceding the album will be the single No Contact out on 18/04/11.

Nasty Buffet is a short sharp debut coming in at under 25 minutes. Schnapps rattle through nine songs that leave you breathless and craving another listen. Girls, Cross dressers, Ice cream, Halloween and Schnapps are all featured; songs that are fast and energetic, lazy and wonky, scuzzy and fun. In classic debut album style and in the spirit of New York circa 76-79 Schnapps make their mark with Nasty Buffet.

Schnapps recorded Nasty Buffet live in 3 days at The Ranch, their studio in Partick, Glasgow. The album was mixed by fellow El Rancho comrade Big Dog (Altered Images/One Dove) and mastered by Jonnie Common (Inspector Tapehead). The album will be
released on singer Jnr. Crawfords El Rancho Records label.

The first single to be taken from the debut is No Contact released on Monday 18th April as a download only via iTunes and all digital platforms. Check the B side for a wicked Big Dog remix of the single.

El Rancho Records will host an album playback/single launch on Monday 18th at The Rio Cafe, 27 Hyndland Street, Glasgow from 9pm-12am. Schnapps will perform a short set after a playback of their debut album and will be backed alongside El Rancho DJs
