Stairway Club in Glasgow launches

Check out new venue Stairway on Union Street. I had a great night DJing it recently and have now been confirmed as the Saturday night resident.

In terms of a live venue it has everything down to a tee in order to make live music work. Also it has a great spec for DJs also, i love the lights!!! Im very excited about playing tunes at the club and getting you lot on the dancefloor.



Monday

Instrumental

Calling all musicians! Instrumental is a non-vocal jam. Musicians
from all walks come together and jam! One rule, no songs or covers.
All pieces are created by the energy of all taking part. An engaging,
entertaining night for music fans and musicians alike. Free entry.

Tuesday

Origin

Origin is a night dedicated to putting on the best up and coming
bands and artists from Scotland. Interested in Scotland’s thriving
music scene? Then this is your night. Sponsored by Relentless energy
drink. £5 entry.

Wednesday

Spiral

Spiral is Glasgow’s dark indie night. Featuring live music with guest
DJ sets. Music from queens of the Stoneage, Joy Division, The Kills,
The Twilight Sad, Pixies etc


Thursday

Zipper

Zipper is an evening consisting live music and a DJ set of some of
rock’s classics such as the Rolling Stones, Hendrix, The Who, Muddy
Waters, Led Zeppelin , David Bowie etc. A great way to unwind after
work and get ready for the weekend. Open from 5pm till late. Free
Entry before 10pm. £5 after.

Friday

Tardis

Come on a journey with our Friday night Tardis. Any music, any place,
every time. DJ set provided by Gavin Dunbar of Camera Obscura going
through modern and classic northern soul, indie, electro, rock n
roll, pop and funk. It’s a bit like Savilles Time Travels, except
with Camera Obscuras King of Partick rather than a tracksuit clad
beast. Free Entry before 10pm, £5 after.

Saturday

Saturday afternoon we have live music from 2pm with some of the best
cover bands in the circuit. Doors at 12pm. Free Entry.

Saturday nights become Life On Mars with DJ Craig McGee (www.glasgowmusic.co.uk) Playing everything from electro,
indie, motown, soul and funk to keep you dancing all night. Free
Entry before 10pm. £5 after

Sunday afternoon is Label. Bring buy or just listen. A celebration of
vinyl with a vinyl Dj and mini record fair. 2pm - 7pm (contact
[email protected] if you want to sell records) Free entry.

Sunday night is YUP, Glasgow’s only authentic Roots and Americana
night. With DJ sets featuring music from The Jayhawks, Neil Young,
Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams, Bonnie Prince Billy and Live music from
special guests. Free entry before 10pm.=
