ADDITIONAL ACTS ANNOUNCED FOR BREW AT THE BOG

We are delighted to announce the second batch of acts set to appear at the inaugural Brew at the Bog Festival on Saturday 5 May 2012. Having recently announced the likes of Three Blind Wolves, Washington Irving, Endor, The Seventeenth Century, Over The Wall, Beerjacket and Kitty The Lion, we are thrilled to confirm the addition of Open Swimmer, Fatherson, Mike Nisbet, The Little Kicks, Lost City Soul and young Highland singer-songwriter Megan Blyth to this year’s line up.

Also joining this year’s bill are three of Wales’s brightest emerging prospects, Siôn Russell Jones (recently highlighted by leading industry publication Music Week as ‘One to Watch in 2012’ and confirmed to showcase at SxSW and Canadian Music Week), Jonathan Powell and Bensh.

Taking place at Bogbain Farm on the outskirts of Inverness, Brew at the Bog will bring some of the most exciting emerging talent on the UK scene to the Highland capital this May.

“We are delighted with the additions to this year’s line up”, said Festival Director, Yvonne Murray. “Brew at the Bog is a great opportunity to catch some of the best new bands in the country in a unique environment, and we are working hard to make sure it’s one of the coolest festivals on this year’s calendar”.

Tickets for the day long extravaganza of new music and new beer are priced at just £45 and are available here.

Limited camping is also available. Campsite opens at 1pm on Friday 4th May and closes on Sunday at 1pm. Camping tickets are £10 and gets you in from Friday until Sunday.

NOTE TO EDITORS:

Brew at the Bog is Scotland’s newest music festival celebrating all that’s good about our fair land – great music and great beer. BrewDog are the leaders of the craft beer revolution and they are about breaking rules, taking risks, upsetting trends, unsettling institutions but first and foremost, great tasting beers. As one newspaper put it, BrewDog is the new black.

Bogbain Farm is based just outside Inverness and aims to be the best small venue in Scotland. Brew at the Bog is just the latest in small festivals Bogbain is hosting and the fabulous surroundings of this old farm will ensure Brew at the Bog 2012 will go down in history. Only music and beer lovers need attend.

Brew at the Bog 2012 has an impressive line-up – the best in up and coming Scottish talent (plus a special guest from America), along with some wicked food, films, acoustic sessions and belly laughs. It’s for adults, so leave the rugrats at home. (Only joking - well, kind of – it’s not designed for kids but we are licensed for under 18s but we aren’t really catering for them so they’re your responsibility, all day.)

It’ll start at 12pm on Saturday 5th May and will finish when the music runs out…

Limited camping available. Campsite opens at 1pm on Friday 4th May and closes on Sunday at 1pm. Camping tickets are £10 and gets you in from Friday til Sunday.

No booze allowed at the festival site – unless it’s BrewDog
