Die Hards sound is a blend of Glasgows dark humour mixed with strong melodies + strange textures. Songs that ask questions about the telling of lies, revenge & lust. Formed in 2011, the band spent the first 9 months of the year writing + recording songs in their home studio in the city centre.
As one of the highlights from Die Hards eponymous debut, "Here Goes the Rage" encapsulates what they are about; ethereal strings + swirling acoustic guitar compliment a strong vocal, with a tale about getting mad before you turn grey + lose your teeth.
The group had a hand in starting Halleluwah Hits, beginning life as a boutique record shop in Glasgows Buchanan street, selling hard to find limited edition vinyl. They then formed the record label in 2010, releasing the debut EP from beat genius Dam Mantle, selling out the Ltd 300 edition "Grey EP".
