Internationally renowned DJ, producer and Arches favourite Felix Da Housecat will headline A Night Under the Northern Lights at the Arches, Glasgow on Saturday 19th May which will see the space transformed into an ethereal Northern wilderness complete with a full night sky showing the Northern Lights in action. The setting will combine the dark excitement of a rave with the mind-blowing production of a big club to host one of the most beautiful electronic light shows ever seen in the Arches.

This special club is part of the Smirnoff Battle Of The Clubs which saw The Arches go head to head in a competition with the Liquid Room in Edinburgh to decide which venue was more worthy of bringing you one of the best club nights in the UK. The Arches won. Here’s more information on the exciting lineup we’ve put together who will all be ensuring everyone has a banging night.

A Night Under the Northern Lights will be sound-tracked by the legendary two-time Grammy nominated Felix Da Housecat. Felix has headlined clubs, festivals and special events on every continent of the world and is one of the electro scene’s greatest innovators. His collaboration with Miss Kittin on full length 2001 debut Kittenz and Thee Glitz spawned a synth club revival with Silver Screen (Shower Scene), Madame Hollywood and What Does it Feel Like becoming worldwide club hits. Follow ups Virgo Blaktro & The Neon Disco, Son Of Analog, Thee Industry Made Me Do it, and Alone In The Dark have had similar chart and dancefloor success. Felix has remixed platinum selling artists from Madonna to Kylie and P.Diddy and has massive releases scheduled for this year.

Supporting Felix is German born, France based DJ and remixer du jour Fred Falke. Fred and collaborator Alan Braxe were at the forefront of the French house scene during the Daft Punk and Cassius heyday of the late 1990s and released several singles under the French Roule and Vulture Music imprints. In demand remixers, they used the duo used their skills to remix tracks by artists such as Kelis, Justice and Goldfrapp. Fred released the track Omega Man in 2006 and ended his partnership with Alan in 2008. He has remixed everyone from The Gossip, Hot Chip and Uffie to Lykke Li and Brooklyn based Theophilius London (who plays the Arches on Saturday 9th June). Support on the night comes from another of Alan Braxe’s collaborators and one of the most in demand electro-disco remixers and producers of the current moment, Starsmith, as well as one of the Arches’ most notorious party starters Johnny Whoop.

What’s not to love here with such an outstanding lineup for this special one-off club and all this at just a fiver.
