CARNIVORES ANNOUNCE 5-DATE SCOTTISH HEADLINE TOUR IN JUNE WITH SUPPORT FROM SO MANY ANIMAL CALLS.

Carnivores are a three-piece rock band from Paisley, Scotland. Formed in 2008, the band have taken musics old fashioned slow road, getting in a van and putting in the hours going from show to show, playing everywhere from London to Thurso, building up a passionate fan base in the process.

Carnivores music is an intense ball of sweaty punk rock, its all throttling riffs, bizarre timings and anthemic choruses. Recalling all the best power trios (Nirvana, Rush, The Jimi Hendrix Experience), Carnivores make a surprising amount of noise for just three slightly strange Scottish guys and their brutal live show has taken them from tiny flat gigs to massive festivals (T in the Park, Belladrum), headline shows in legendary venues (Glasgows King Tuts) and even a live session on BBC Radio 1.

In January, the band were named in The Suns Ones to Watch in 2012 feature, showing the band are making strange inroads into the mainstream. Never ones to sell out, the Carnivores gig that followed this featured a crowd surfing vacuum cleaner along with a note from a fan; I left the gig covered in blood. It wasnt my blood. With a string of sold out EPs and singles behind them, they are currently hard at work on their début album, due for release in Autumn 2012.

Looking towards the summer, the band have just announced a string of headline dates in their native Scotland and invited Glasgow fail-pop quartet So Many Animal Calls to join them.

So Many Animal Calls released their debut single ʻTrapsʼ in Feburary 2012 through DIY Collective Overlook Records, which was met by the support of music lovers and critics alike. Receiving airplay from the likes of BBC Radio 1ʼs Huw Stephens and Jen Long, the bandʼs profile has risen dramatically since the turn of the year.

After completing a run of successful headline shows in March/April, and a new EP in the pipeline, this is set to be the beginning of a very busy year and So Many Animal Calls could not be more excited to get back on the road with Carnivores.
