The Countdown to TITP is on

The countdown is on until the best weekend of the summer begins at T in the Park 2012. There may not be long to go but festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager have still managed to squeeze some more fresh talent onto the already blistering hot bill. Alt-J, Delilah, Willy Moon, Bwani Junction, Organs of Love, Hares, Bo Bruce, The Chevin, The Original Rudeboys and The Beautiful Word will all be making their mark on T in the Park across the weekend of 6th – 8th July 2012.

Cambridge based four-piece Alt-J will showcase sounds from their debut album An Awesome Wave, declared as "immensely powerful" and "heartbreakingly wonderful” (The Guardian). British singer-songwriter Delilah recently collaborated with dub step giants Chase & Status on single Time and her forthcoming album From the Roots Up is set to storm the charts later this summer as well as wowing the crowds at T in the Park.

Coming to Kinross from his native New Zealand is 50’s style crooner Willy Moon. On the strength of a handful of tracks uploaded to MySpace, Moon landed himself a major record deal and latest single, Yeah Yeah has caused great excitement amongst influential music bloggers and tastemakers.

Mixing it up is Edinburgh quartet Bwani Junction, who wowed the T in the Park crowd with a stand-out set on the T Break Stage last year. They boast a wide range of influences from reggae to afro beat to indie-pop and their eclectic sound sets them apart as one of most original and creative talents this year. Optimo favourites and Glasgow-based duo Organs of Love will bring their unique blend of electronica, whilst Hares will bring their charming, lights-down-low version of folk pop to T in the Park.

Further adding to this year’s line-up is quirky English songstress Bo Bruce, who comes to T in the Park after enjoying huge success as the protégé of The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue on UK talent show The Voice. The Chevin play T in the Park fresh from the release of their debut EP Champion and with their anthemic sound being compared to the likes of The Killers and Snow Patrol, they are sure to go down a treat.

Dublin acoustic hip hop band, The Original Rudeboys are best known for their single Stars In My Eyes, they miraculously blend hip hop and indie and are set to be firm festival favourites at T in the Park. Finally, T in the Park welcome experimental folk-pop five-piece The Beautiful Word. Their new single Emily fuses the purity and humanity of British folk with a more powerful rock sound.

T in the Park secures the biggest bands from across the globe whilst consistently promoting the best new and breakthrough talent and providing the ultimate platform for all to appear as part of the festival. This year is no exception with an array of ones to watch in 2012 set to wow the 85,000 strong crowd per day over the weekend of 6th – 8th July.
