Hi how are you all?
We are having blast, thank you!
How has the tour being going?
Its amazing thanks, the crowds have been totally behind us and partying, we are meeting loads of new people and really enjoying the awesome cities across the UK
You are a relatively new act. How did you prepare for shows of this scale? Many new bands never get the opportunity to play venues this size, was it daunting?
Yeah it was, and is!! We know how lucky we are and are determined to be the best we can, we think we are doing well. Its always been about the live music for us, so to be playing these arenas is immense
Touring with McBusted means a lots of guys on the road, there must be lots of laughs with the supergroup?
Yeah there is, but weve mainly been pranking our crew, so far we have done two! The others are nervously waiting their turn... Our super guitar tech Scott, was hit with a fake birthday when everyone in Hardrock Cafe London sang happy birthday to him, even though it wasnt his birthday and he knew nothing about it, his face is priceless, you can see it in our tour diaries.
How did you enjoy playing the Scottish highlands? How do the Scottish crowds compare to back home?
we really enjoy playing in the highlands before the McBusted tour we did a mini tour to Inverness, Aberdeen and Kinross, the scottish crowds are awesome we love playing up because the crowd love live music and they enjoy us
The recent writing process involved a mandolin, do you like to think of new ways to come up with ideas for songs?
yeah we all like to play instruments, Dan usually plays anything with strings until he can get a tune out of it, we love playing so its great if you come up with a new riff or song
I read you grew up with heavy rock bands and like a lot of commercial rock bands. What was the first record you bought and did it become one of your influences? Be honest! ,
Dan: the first record/cd i brought was Busteds first album it became an inspiration for wanting to play guitar, i still know all the words to all the songs.
Tom: my first album was kings of leon only by the night and it was really an influence i just really liked the album
Luke: Empire by Kasabian was the first one i brought it influenced to get into music and its a great album
Nicky: the first CD i brought was Prodigys Fat of the land i really loved the album and it influenced me with the interesting rhythms played on the record
When can we expect a single / album?
We have 6 tracks ready and are back in the studio after the tour, but we want it to be amazing, so probably early 2015
Thanks guys, have a good show and enjoy Glasgow
