Doune The Rabbit Hole 2020 cancelled

Doune The Rabbit Hole has become the latest Scottish festival to be cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The following was announced on the official Doune The Rabbit Hole website.

Dear friends,

Finally, the time has come to officially unpin Doune the Rabbit Hole 2020 from your calendars. We kept our hopes up for as long as possible, and we’re sorry it’s taken our small team as long as it has to prepare for this announcement, but we are now in a position to confirm the postponement of Doune the Rabbit Hole until 15th - 18th July 2021.

We’re completely gutted that we won’t be partying with you at Cardross Estate this July, after an incredible 10 year run. It feels incomprehensible to us that there could be a summer without a Doune to run wild and dance with you all under the stars to some mighty fine music!

The good news is that all tickets will automatically be valid for the new dates in 2021 - day tickets too. You don’t have to do anything to roll over your tickets. As if by magic, your 2020 ticket IS your 2021 ticket! This way you get to keep the ticket Tier you purchased too, so you get next year’s tickets at this year’s prices. Kids 12 and under were free in 2020, and will cover kids 13 and under for 2021 too, so don’t worry about your children growing into their teens during the pandemic - we’ve got you covered!

There’s more good news though! We haven’t been idly standing about the last few weeks - Oh No! We’ve been busy trying to ensure as much of our festival line up stays as intact as possible, and we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been able to keep hold of the majority of our planned 2020 lineup for 2021!

Belle and Sebastian, John Cale, The Bluebells, The Pastels, Girl Ray, Cut Capers, Rachel Sermanni, Elephant Sessions, Snapped Ankles, Tidelines, The Skints and many more - and that’s just who we’ve managed to confirm SO FAR - we’re still trying with loads of others and we’ll keep you up to date with folks as and when they confirm. See the full list of who’s reconfirmed here.

Thank you! Your decision to rollover your tickets to next year is immensely appreciated and goes further than you know in securing the future of our festival. You don’t need to do anything to rollover your tickets to 2021 - unless you have requested a refund, they will be automatically updated and be valid for next year’s festival dates.

When you roll over, not only will you get next year’s festival at this year’s prices, weekend ticket holders are also getting a whole extra night of festival on Thursday 15th July 2021. Day ticket holders get access to the same day of the weekend in 2021 - rest assured, we are trying our utmost to keep the line up as close as possible to 2020. If you are happy to roll over your ticket to next year’s festival, and come to an amazing party over 15th - 18th July 2021, you will be forever loved by the whole Doune community

As a thanks for rolling over your tickets to 2021, you will automatically be entered into a prize draw, in which 10 lucky people will win free tickets to Doune the Rabbit Hole Festival for life!

Winners will be announced the week commencing 20th July 2020 and notified by the email address they used to purchase their tickets initially.
