Sugababes announced as special guests for Colourboxx 2022, Glasgows newest festival

Colourboxx have today announced that Sugababes, one of the most successful groups in British pop history, will join the line-up as special guests for their unmissable inaugural edition next June.

For one day, Bellahouston Park in Glasgow will be transformed into a world where, over everything else, inclusivity and freedom of expression triumphs. Tickets on sale now via colourboxx.com, with fans having the option to donate to Colourboxx partners LGBT Youth & TIE (Time for Inclusive Education) while purchasing a ticket.

Since the release of their debut album One Touch in 2000, Sugababes have had one of the most spectacular stories of the modern pop era with six Number One singles, millions of global sales and multi-platinum albums.

The iconic trio will feature alongside Its A Sin Star and platinum-selling artist Years & Years, aka Olly Alexander, who will be returning to Glasgow to headline with his dazzling, critically acclaimed live show. Joining him is UK chart royalty Becky Hill, and Glasgows own soul-pop sensation Joesef.

Genre-exploding alt-pop icon Rina Sawayama will also be joining the bill, as well as reigning Queen supreme over international nightlife Jodie Harsh, emerging popstar to be reckoned with L Devine and Broadway and West End legend Marisha Wallace. LVRA, Taahliah, HYYTS, LYRA, July Jones, Walt Disco, Lucia & The Best Boys and Berry Galazka will also be performing - with many more still to be announced.

But Colourboxx is more than just a music festival - so joining the line-up across several stages and performance areas is an entire programme of the UKs fiercest drag acts and cabaret performers including drag race star and UK drag royalty Bimini. The House of Sublime will also be making their Scottish debut, bringing award-winning theatre, alt-cabarets, live-art and everything in between to the leafy confines of Bellahouston park.

Some of Glasgows most celebrated and vibrant alternative club nights will also be joining the party, including Shoot Your Shot, Pretty Ugly, Obsession and Push It. Complete with some of the most delicious food and extravagant cocktails Scotland has to offer, Colourboxx is set to be one of the biggest celebrations of love and unity that Scotland has ever seen.

Organisers firmly believe that everyone deserves to have the freedom and space to be their authentic selves, and will be operating a zero tolerance policy towards racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, and all forms of discrimination.

With so many more acts and the full Drag performer programme still to come, fans should follow @colourboxxfest on social media or sign up via colourboxx.com to receive a little bit of sparkle in their inbox when more acts are announced.

This is Colourboxx, lets celebrate love and dance to the music.
