Wet Wet Wet release new live album, first with Kevin Simm on vocals

Wet Wet Wets one and only lockdown show – broadcast in April this year – was such a massive success that the band have been inundated by fans for the one hour set crammed full of hits to be released as a live album.

Thousands of fans from all over the world tuned in to watch the online streaming show where they saw Wet Wet Wet perform a live set in Glasgow that included hits such as Sweet Little Mystery, Goodnight Girl, Julia Says and Love Is All Around to name but a few.

The live album marks the bands first release featuring lead vocalist Kevin Simm who joined the band in 2018 and is set to be followed by a brand new Wet Wet Wet album entitled The Journey that is scheduled for release in October.

Tommy Cunningham: "You wanted the greatest hits live, you got the greatest hits live!"

Graeme Clark: "It hasnt been easy being in a band during the pandemic but this live album shows just how magic it can be when we are able to come together and play. We cant wait to follow this release up with our newly written and recorded album The Journey".

Neil Mitchell: "It was great to be able to perform live again although we all would have preferred to see the faces of our fans rather than just video cameras in front of us. We are so looking forward to seeing all our fans at shows again soon and this is a small reminder for them in the meantime".

Kevin Simm: "Im delighted to be playing my part in continuing the bands legacy by singing these amazing songs live in my own way, I very much hope that everybody will enjoy this live album".

Wet Wet Wet are undeniably a musical phenomenon, having made an incredible impact with their music over the last four decades, becoming one of the most successful bands in British pop history. Selling in excess of 15 million singles and albums to date, Wet Wet Wet have featured in the UK official singles and album charts for over an immense 500 weeks. With number 1 hits including With A Little Help From My Friends and Goodnight Girl, 1994s Love Is All Around was the biggest selling single of the year, when it spent 15 weeks at No1, making it the longest spell at the top for any UK artist – a record that still stands.
