SKERRYVORE SHARE THE NEW SCOTLAND WORLD CUP ANTHEM ‘NEVER STOPPED DREAMING’

Its been 28 years since Scotland last qualified for the World Cup, but this summer will finally see the Tartan Army return to the tournament with the passion, joy and commitment that theyre famous for - no Scotland, no party. And despite years of near misses and underwhelming performances, the fans have always turned up in numbers as they never stopped dreaming. Thats something that national heroes Skerryvore now celebrate as they share their own Scotland World Cup anthem Never Stopped Dreaming.

Rich with traditional Scottish sounds, Never Stopped Dreaming has both the anthemic qualities and rousing choruses to make it a fan favourite throughout the World Cup - and its blend of hope, defiance and belief provides the perfect atmosphere whether theyre celebrating or commiserating.

Skerryvores Alec Dalglish says, "Never Stopped Dreaming is an anthemic Celtic folk-rock celebration of Scotlands long-awaited return to the World Cup after 28 years. Built for stadium singalongs, festival crowds and football fans everywhere, the track captures the pride, camaraderie and unwavering belief of the Tartan Army. With soaring choruses, driving energy and Skerryvores signature Celtic sound, its a feel-good anthem about unity, hope and never giving up on the dream."

Skerryvore will play a special World Cup warm-up party at Glasgow Barrowland tomorrow, final tickets for which are available HERE. Both the show and the single will proudly support Street Soccer Scotland, with £1 from every ticket sold going directly to the charity and social enterprise that uses football themed programmes to create lasting positive change
for those most at risk, and socially disadvantaged people in Scotland and London.

Skerryvore will then head to America for two unique celebratory World Cup shows to welcome the Tartan Army ahead of Scotlandsopening match versus Haiti. The band will play New York Citys Conway Hall on June 11th, joined by Sandi Thom, Ally The Piperand Tartan Specials. Their next stop is the Royale in Boston on June 12th on a line-up completed by Susan Boyle, Nathan Evans & The Saint PHNX Band and Johnny Mac And The Faithful.

A huge draw in the live arena as demonstrated by their Skerryvore XX (Live At Floors Castle) album, the bands summer also includes major festivals including Belladrum, Heather On The Hill, Party At The Palace, Beautiful Days, the New Forest Folk Festival and many more. They also have a wider range of North American shows planned for September and October. Please see HERE for a full list of dates and ticket information.

In their 20-year history, Skerryvore have built a devoted following at live shows, which has resulted in them being acclaimed as four-time winners of Scotlands Live Act of the Year. Earning strong Radio 2 airplay support, their most recent studio album, 2023s Tempus, was their first to reach the UK Official Album Charts Top 40 while also hitting #1 on both the Official Folks Albums Chart and the Official Scottish Albums Chart. The band subsequently celebrated their 20th anniversary in style with the Floors Castle event, a sold-out 7000-capacity all-dayer where they were joined by an array of special guests and old friends.
